We are thrilled to gather at this beautiful studio in New Bedford\, a space deeply rooted in the belief that community (“Sangha”) is about connection\, inclusion\, and welcoming everyone exactly as they are. \nWhat is Yin Yoga? Unlike more active styles of yoga\, Yin is a slower\, meditative practice where floor-based poses are held for longer periods (typically 3 to 5 minutes). This approach targets the deep connective tissues\, fascia\, ligaments\, and joints\, rather than just the muscles. For surfers\, this is the perfect counterbalance to the dynamic\, muscular “yang” energy of riding waves. It helps release tension in the hips\, shoulders\, and lower back\, improving mobility and preventing injury so you stay ready for the water. \nYour Teacher Kim Silvia-Pare will be guiding us through this restorative session\, helping us slow down and reconnect with our bodies during the off-season. \nDetails & Logistics \n\nProps: They have all the props (blocks\, bolsters\, blankets) so just bring yourself! As the season winds down\, join our Gnomes Surf crew for three action-packed days of waves\, sun\, and sand designed to maximize summer break memories.  Join us in the quest for the Endless Summer and the Perfect Wave.  Send your child back to school riding that wave of stoke\, improved confidence\, and overall social-emotional well-being. \nJoin us at beautiful Horseneck Beach for this epic summer finale: \n\n📅 Dates: August 19\, 20 & 21\n🕙 Time: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM each day\n📍 Location: Horseneck Beach\, MA\n🎟️ One ticket covers all 3 days!\n\nYour single ticket provides access to daily surf instruction\, beach games\, art stations\, yoga\, and positive vibes. We’ve bundled this all into one fantastic\, inclusive experience. \nOur Mission: More Than Just Surfing. Gnome Surf operates a fully inclusive\, family-centric surf therapy clinic that focuses on our Athletes’ strengths. We welcome all kids and specialize in Neurodivergent Athletes (Athletes with Autism\, Down Syndrome\, ADHD\, Depression\, and/or Anxiety). \nOur team of dedicated surf therapists guides participants through their surfing journey\, utilizing a model proven to improve mental health\, build self-esteem\, and enhance social-emotional well-being. We foster an environment of inclusion\, highlighting each Athlete’s individuality and welcoming them to the Gnome Tribe. \nEach session concludes with a special High Five Awards Ceremony\, where our Athletes receive certificates and swag from our corporate partners\, making them feel like Championship Surfers. \nOur Athletes come for the waves and stay for the memories\, making our Ohana one of the best communities to feel loved and accepted always.
